With the continuing bad news slamming dentistry (look at our news section for more reaction and opinion to the GDC proposed fee rise and THAT advert in last Saturday’s Telegraph) it is fantastic to be able to bring some good news.
Graduands pose outside Whitworth Hall, Manchester
The ceremony was streamed live all over the world from the prestigious surroundings of Whitworth Hall at University of Manchester. This, the third graduating cohort of the MSc and representing countries from three continents, saw 10 of the graduates receiving distinctions for their work, and 18 receiving merits.
This blended learning MSc, delivered with both online learning and hands-on residentials, has proven to be a popular method of learning with students as it combines their daily practice with their learning for a seamless experience.
Kirstie McCulloch, Head of Qualifications at Healthcare Learning: Smile-on, had this to say: “This day celebrates the end of a two-year journey of hard work and dedication by each graduate. We should never underestimate the challenges of undertaking a postgraduate Master’s degree whilst maintaining a busy working and family life! These individuals are a shining example of what can be achieved.
“We have been privileged to support them on their road to success and are proud that they are now part of our Global Healthcare Alumni and ambassadors for the next generation of healthcare professionals.”
Congratulations to all those who graduated and may their hard work and dedication continue to improve the lives of patients!
